My Story
Young Entrepreneur
My first business was a delivery and moving services business in New Jersey. I sold the business and moved to Michigan when I met my wife, Crisette.
AT&T
For four years, I worked as a Premise Technician and spent my days installing UVerse networks in hundreds of homes across Michigan. I knew I didn’t want to work at AT&T forever and I scheduled a goal on my I-Pad that I would leave AT&T by May 12, 2012. Wouldn’t you know it…on May 12, 2012 I was laid off (along with hundreds of others). . Later that night, at home on the couch and feeling defeated, my I-Pad beeped– giving me the notification from long ago. May 12, 2012 was my last day. It was a blessing in disguise and I went back into business for myself.
Education, Dean and Interim Principal
I was approached by a local middle school about setting up a tech program for middle school students. I developed, then taught the new curriculum for the program. I went on to serve as a Dean as well as an Interim Principal. While I loved education, and the students, the pay left something to be desired and branched back out into business. During this time, I also co-hosted a Christian TV show.
Construction
I worked for a construction company that I helped build to multiple seven figures. They let me go two days before Christmas. (Ouch!) I vowed to never be in that position again and I went on to start my own storm-restoration construction company. When storms hit, we repair the roofs, siding and gutters of homes. I loved mentoring my team and seeing the satisfaction on home owners’ faces as we restored their homes.
In 2021, without even owning the property, I started my own AirBnb Business. The business rapidly grew from 1 to 7 properties (and counting). My relationships-first, creative approach to doing business has been integral to my success. Now I teach you how to launch a Short-Term Rental Business that works for YOUR life.
I Believe
Partnerships bring prosperity.
Capital is far more than money. We create capital when we strengthen our business relationships.
Partnerships are foundational for business success.
By creatively crafting partnerships that help us all win, we explode our business success.
MYTH: You must own property to start an AirBnb Business
Fact: I don’t own any of my AirBnb properties.
Rental arbitrage allows you to rent a property and then utilize it for short-term stays. In some cases, you can even negotiate your first rent payment to be due 4-6 weeks after the lease begins, which gives you time to get your property up and running. They key is in building relationships and fostering win-win situations.
